Measuring Religiosity
Religiosity is a measure of religious devotion demonstrated through actions performed either for the benefit of the devotee or to minister to others who may or may not share the same religious beliefs. Religiosity may be measured at the individual level or the organizational level. We used the concept of religiosity to inform the funder group analysis.
To consider religion’s role in the relationship between secular and faith-inspired funder groups and their members, the religiosity survey measures the extent that religion influences an organization’s organizational operations, environment, and finances.
